Norway – towards the world’s first fully electrified society
Elektroforeningen (EFO) is the industry association for suppliers and wholesalers of electrical products, equipment and solutions. Our members provide the products, technology and expertise Norway needs to electrify society and use energy and resources more efficiently. EFO strengthens the industry’s collective voice, develops shared solutions and works to secure favourable conditions for the sector.
About EFO
EFO brings together suppliers and wholesalers across Norway’s electrical industry. We represent our members shared interests and connect businesses, policymakers and industry partners to advance electrification, digitalisation and more sustainable use of resources.
Our priority areas
-
Electrification We showcase the electrical industry’s solutions and work to secure the conditions needed to accelerate electrification across Norway.
-
Digitalisation and product data We develop EFObasen and shared standards to improve product data quality and the flow of information across the industry.
-
Circular value chains We collaborate across the value chain to improve environmental data, increase reuse and develop take-back schemes that keep products and materials in use for longer.

EFObasen
Better product data. Better decisions.
EFO develops and manages EFObasen, the electrical industry’s shared product database. With more than 260,000 products, it gives businesses access to structured product information that supports product selection, documentation and the exchange of data throughout the value chain.

Together, we shape the electrical industry
Our members help set the direction of EFO’s work. Through shared tools, professional networks and industry events, we exchange knowledge and develop solutions for the sector. Membership gives your business a voice in this work and opportunities to connect with others across the industry.
